Bio-Rad Introduces Next-Gen QX200 Droplet Digital PCR System
Bio-Rad Laboratories has launched the latest QX200 Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) system featuring the company’s latest next generation Droplet Digital PCR technology. The new flexible device is capable of working with both widely used EvaGreen and TaqMan hydrolysis probes, making it easier for researchers to design their digital PCR experiments.
The new QX200 systems can also be used with Bio-Rad’s latest 75 Droplet Digital PCR validated assays for detecting mutations and genomic variations responsible for cancer. Detection of rare mutations, measuring copy number variation and absolute quantification of gene expression can be easily made using digital PCR, thus making cancer research and diagnosis easier.
Bio-Rad’s ddPCR devices have been playing a vital role in various research programs on HIV, cancer and disease characterization studies across the world since its launch 2 years ago. The new flexible second generation ddPCR can make it easier for researchers to design a variety of experiments and contribute further to the research.
