Parent company behind Moderna is announcing its latest venture, a new co. with the ambitious goal of building the next AI super-Scientist that aid or replace current scientists entirely. Pioneering announced last month their aim to integrate advanced machine learning, automation, and data synthesis to accelerate breakthroughs in biology, chemistry, and medicine by the end of the decade.
Lila Life Sciences is aiming to build an AI-powered “scientist” capable of generating hypotheses from scratch, designing experiments that operate without human intervention, and interpreting complex datasets. By combining large language models (LLMs), robotic lab automation, and proprietary datasets, Lila aims to reduce the time and cost of scientific R&D while unlocking novel discoveries, not sure about when the first .
