“analytica Anacon India 2013” Expo Concludes on a High Note
The Indian edition of analytica trade fair, analytica Anacon India 2013 concluded recently on a high note. The exhibition was held from 12th to 14th of November at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai and was organized by Messe Munchen International (MMI) and MMI- India along with Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA) as organizing partner.
The exhibition had 113 booths set up by various manufacturers and distributors of analytical instruments, its components and consumables across the globe. It attracted about 4000 footfalls, over a period of three days. analytica Anacon India is held every alternate year and each edition focuses on a different theme, depending on the need of the hour. This year’s analytica Anacon India 2013 was focused mainly on food safety. As a part of analytica Anacon India 2013, a series of conferences covering broad areas of Pharmaceuticals, Drug Discovery Research, Food Standards & Safety and Biosimilars & Metabolites were held, where experts from both academia and industry spoke on a wide range of topics covering new techniques, protocols, evaluation parameters, intellectual properties, policies and regulations.
The growing Indian analytical instruments market, fuelled by the needs of pharma, biotech, clinical research and other manufacturing sectors is set to climb at a steady rate of 10 percent per annum. With most of the analytical instruments being imported to meet the needs, while the Indian industry continues to develop indigenous technologies to meet the requirements, analytica Anacon India 2013 has opened a porthole for the stakeholders including manufacturers, distributors and end users to interact with each other to gain a clear picture of the requirements and available choices respectively.
International exhibitors from Germany, China, Japan, Korea and Russia registered a strong presence in the recently concluded analytica Anacon India 2013 – 7th International Trade Fair for Laboratory Technology, Analysis, Biotechnology and Diagnostics. The major exhibitors included the likes of Agilent Technologies, Analytik Jena, Borosil, Bruker, Eppendorf, Hanna Instruments, Horiba, Merck Millipore, Metrohm, Mettler Toledo, Shimadzu Analytical, Thermo Fisher Scientific etc. The next analytica event will be held on April 1st -4th next year at Munich, Germany, followed by analytica China from September 24th to 26th and analytica Vietnam from April 15th to 17th, 2015 respectively.
