We correct our mistakes openly. This page explains how.
How to report an error
Email info@labcritics.com with the article URL, the specific statement you believe is wrong, and a source if you have one. We review every report we receive.
How we handle corrections
Factual errors. Where an article states something incorrect — a wrong specification, price, date, name or attribution — we correct the text and add a dated correction note at the foot of the article describing what was changed.
Substantive changes. Where a correction alters the meaning or conclusion of a piece, the note explains what the article previously said.
Minor fixes. Typographical and formatting fixes that do not change meaning are made without a note.
Updates. Where new information supersedes an accurate original article, we mark it as an update with a date rather than as a correction.
What we do not do
We do not delete published articles to resolve a complaint, and we do not remove critical coverage at a company’s request. Where a company disputes our reporting, we will publish their response alongside it.
Timeframe
We aim to acknowledge correction requests within two working days.
