Analytik Jena Launches New Product Lines
Analytik Jena AG, a leading provider of instruments and products for life sciences industry has introduced two new product lines along with other products at the recently concluded Biotechnica 2013 exhibition at Hannover, Germany. The new products include ChemStudio SA and PCR UV Workstations along with InnuPure C96 and GeneTheatre Systems.
ChemStudio SA, a part of the company’s ChemStudio product line is a new generation chemiluminescence system with a highly sensitive, cooled CCD camera imager that can be used for a wide range of imaging applications ranging from simple gel documentation to advanced multispectral, multi-imaging applications. The PCR UV Cabinets and Workstations line of products possess a dual attack environment composed of UV irradiation and antimicrobial stainless steel and aluminium to prevent PCR contamination. Analytik Jena’s PCR UV Systems are currently available in standard PCR UV2 and PCR UV3 HEPA variants respectively. The latter has a three stage HEPA filter available to prevent contamination of samples.
The new GeneTheatre automated liquid handling system is a highly flexible desktop system with a liquid handling capacity ranging in between 0.5 µl and 1000 µl, accommodating pipettes with up to 8 channels. The new GeneTheatre can handle microplates of 96, 384 and 1536 well formats. The new GeneTheatre can be used for a wide range of applications including preparation of whole PCR and real-time PCR batches, distributing and dispensing reagents, automated dilution series, running microarray applications and mother-daughter plate transfers. The structure of easy-to-use GeneTheatre software and user friendly interface makes it easier for the user to run even the most complicated operations. InnuPure C96 purification robot by Analytik Jena is a high throughput nucleic acid purification system that uses magnetic particle separation principle for extracting nucleic acids.
