Asynt Launches a Fast Benchtop Evaporator
Asynt presents in Europe the Smart Evaporator, a benchtop device for fast evaporation of sample tubes and vials. The equipment, already successful in Japan, uses a patented vacuum-assisted vortex concentration technology. The vacuum is generated by drawing air from the tube through a spiral slit, this stirs the liquid and creates and increased evaporative surface. The Spiral Plug technology allows to concentrate high boiling solvents such as DMSO, DMF and water without heating to high temperatures.
Evaporation times.
Smart Evaporator can concentrate samples up to 100 mL at relatively high speeds. It can be very useful for removing solvents after an NMR experiments or concentrating compounds after organic synthesis. Organic chemistry, material science, polymer chemistry, environmental analysis and biochemistry are the main fields where this evaporator can be advantageous.
Other advantages are its ease of use, compatibility with different containers, efficient sample recovery -as there is no need to transfer the sample-, and bumping-free design.
