Molecular Devices Launches the Latest ScanLater Western Blot Detection System

ScanLater Western Blot

Molecular Devices, leading providers of products and software for bioanalytical measurement systems has launched the latest ScanLater Western Blot Detection System, a hybrid system that combines western blot membrane detection and multimode microplate reader systems together.

The time resolve fluorescence (TRF) based western blot detection assay used in ScanLater System reduces stray excitation light to lower background noise and increase sensitivity. The ScanLater System includes ScanLater Western Blot Detection Cartridge, ScanLater along with ScanLater Western Blot Kit and SoftMax Pro Software for image acquisition.

The new flexible ScanLater Western Blot Kits with europium labelled secondary antibodies can be readily used with existing primary antibodies without further optimization. The ScanLater Cartridge, using SoftMax Pro software can be used to add western blot detection capabilities to the company’s SpectraMax i3 and SpectraMax Paradigm Platform within minutes and the software enables users to run both microplate based assays and western blot membrane detection using a single platform. The easy to use software also allows images to be exported to third party analysis packages.
